BRIDGING THE GAP
This design project strives to combine public space and bridge as two functions that may not normally intersect. The site of the project which is located on the west side of Macleod trail in downtown Calgary, is divided into to parts by the trans-Canada railway that crosses through it. This situation generates a set of restrictions, which in this project the main effort is to turn them into opportunities that can integrate the whole design. The program of this project is consisted of commercial, public and office spaces as well as a Media Center as its main focus.
